The "Burnout" series will never be confused with "Gran Turismo" or the upcoming "Forza Motorsport".

It's "Burnout 3: Takedown", and it's the racing game for the rest of us. Well, now there is a racing game for you and me. You wreak destruction and havoc as you fly around the course at breakneck speeds until you flame out in a spectacular crash that belongs in a summer blockbuster. If you're like me, as soon as they leave the room, you punch the gas and fly down the raceway, mercilessly taking out any sucker who dares to get near you. They make sure you understand that you're to avoid contact at all costs. They indoctrinate you into their etiquette of careful passes, respect for other's driver's "lines".

They will begin to teach you their coded language: "gear ratios", "turn apex", and "throttle control". With each new release they will try to convert you into their secret fraternity. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are in development.If you're like me, you have friends that are really into "sim" racing games. Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is not known if the studio will ever work on another Burnout title, but with no news on the franchise recently, another title in the franchise would likely be far off in the future. Criterion Games is said to be working on another Need for Speed title that is expected to release later this year. However, Burnout developer Criterion Games released a remastered version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit in November of 2020 and received mostly positive reviews for the improvements to the game. The latest Burnout title to be remastered was Burnout Paradise on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2018, and the Nintendo Switch received a port of the remaster just last year. However, EA and Criterion Games apparently do not have any plans to release a new Burnout despite the franchise being well-received by fans. The video could make any Burnout 3 fan want to return to the game, or wish for an actual remake by EA. The Grand Theft Auto 5 graphics and cars mixed with the Burnout 3 UI and game modes makes this video impressive to watch. Throughout the video, multiple Burnout 3 game modes can be seen including the Road Rage, Burning Lap, and Eliminator modes.
